Man charged after arrest for false passport at Dublin Airport

Suspect disembarked international flight when passport concerns expressed

A man arrested at Dublin Airport with a false passport has appeared before the courts.

The suspect, who was travelling on a false French passport and is of North African origin, was arrested at the airport this morning having disembarked an international flight.

He was detained on suspicion of travelling under false documents and taken to Ballymun Garda station.

He has since been charged and appeared before the Courts of Criminal Justice in Dublin.

He was remanded in custody to appear before the courts again next week.
