Investigation after unconscious man found on Dublin footpath

Man aged between 25 to 35 found with serious injuries in Santry this morning

An investigation has begun after an unconscious man was found on a footpath in Dublin this morning.

Gardaí found the man lying on the footpath at Lorcan Avenue, Santry at around 5.40am.

The man was taken to Beaumont Hospital where he is described as being in a serious condition.

Gardaí believe the man is aged between 25 to 35 years, and say he is of stocky build, has very tight hair and is around 5ft 8in to 5ft 11in.

When he was found the man was wearing light brown boots, a green/kaki roundneck t-shirt and a watch with luminous straps.

The area where the man was discovered has been sealed off for a technical examination.

Gardaí are calling on anyone who may recognise the injured male to contact them in Santry.

They have also appealed to anyone in the Lorcan Avenue area between 5am and 5.40am to contact the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
