Gardaí rule out foul play in death of man in Dublin’s Bushy Park

Gardaí say they are not treating as suspicious the death of a man whose body was found in Bushy Park, Rathfarnam, south Dublin in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The body was spotted by a passerby in the River Dodder with the assistance of Dublin Fire Brigade.

“Gardaí in Rathfarnham have recovered a body from the River Dodder, this morning Sunday 23rd July, 2017.

“At approximately 10 am, a passerby spotted a body in the river and alerted Gardaí. The male body has been removed from the river with the assistance of Dublin Fire Brigade and the scene is preserved,” said a garda spokeswoman.

The scene has been preserved, and following initial investigations gardaí said they had ruled out foul play.
