Gardaí appeal for witnesses over fatal road incident in Dublin city

A fresh witness appeal has been issued by gardaí after a pedestrian died from injuries she sustained in a road traffic incident in Dublin last weekend.

The deceased, who was aged in her 30s, was walking on South Great George’s Street in the city when she was hit by a vehicle at about 9pm on Saturday.

She suffered serious injuries and was taken to St James’s Hospital, where she later died. The driver of the SUV involved in the incident was uninjured.

Gardaí have asked for any witnesses to the incident to come forward. Any road users who were travelling in the area at the time and may have camera or dashcam footage are asked to make it available.
