Fourth man held after drugs worth €3m seized in Drogheda

A fourth man has been arrested after drugs with an estimated street value of €3 million were seized in Co Louth.

Gardaí carried out an early morning raid at an industrial estate in Drogheda where cocaine and a large quantity of tablets were discovered.

Three of the men, all in their mid-30s, were arrested on Monday morning. A fourth man, aged 38, was arrested on Monday evening in Drogheda, a Garda spokesman said.

The drugs were concealed in boxes and gardaí are trying to determine the quantity and value, with initial estimates of €3 million.

The four men are being held at Drogheda Garda station and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination.
