Drugs seized in Kildare and Newbridge searches

Two-day garda operation results in seizure of heroin, cannabis resin, cocaine and ecstasy

Drugs with an estimated street value of up to €90,000 have been seized as part of the Garda Síochána’s Operation Thor crime crackdown.

Gardaí in the Kildare and Newbridge sub districts carried out a number of searches during a planned two-day operation on the 11th and 12th February.

Heroin, cannabis resin, cocaine, ecstasy and PVP with an estimated street value of up to €90,000 was seized during the searches.

A sum of cash was also seized.

A total of 13 premises were searched and two street searches occured.

Gardaí said files are to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosectutions.
