Former All Black and Connacht fullback Mils Muliaina was arrested in Gloucester following last night's Challenge Cup quarter final.

The 34-year-old was taken into custody by Gloucester Police at Kingsholm Stadium immediately after the fixture for questioning in relation to an alleged sexual assault in Cardiff.

The former All Black captain was in the Welsh capital on March 6th for the Pro 12 League rugby fixture between Connacht and Cardiff.

Gloucester Police issued a statement: “A man in his 30s was arrested at Kingsholm Stadium tonight on suspicion of sexual assault in relation to an incident in Cardiff in March. It is a matter being dealt with my South Wales Police.”
