Legless in Dublin, the access review blog for wheelchair users and those with reduced mobility is celebrating its 100th review with a new website
Founded in 2013 by journalist Louise Bruton, who has had more hot dinners than you have had, er, hot dinners, LeglessinDublin.com reviews venues and destinations throughout Ireland. Layout and accessibility are top of the website's agenda, but a good cocktail and perfect chips always get a few points, too.
The website reviews cafés, bars, restaurants, music venues, festivals, hostels, and shops. There are also reviews of places outside Ireland as well as commentary on access and life with a disability.
“Accessibility and mobility are important issues for a lot of people in Ireland and we want to make sure that something as simple as getting around your hometown is straightforward and easy to plan,” Ms Bruton said.
“As well as identifying the most spacious and shiniest wheelchair toilets that Dublin and beyond has to offer, we also want to make sure that those with reduced mobility in Ireland have the necessary information they need before leaving the house.”
