An all-Mozart affair

The Aerfi Killaloe Music Festival is the home festival of the Irish Chamber Orchestra

The Aerfi Killaloe Music Festival is the home festival of the Irish Chamber Orchestra. The programme, naturally enough, peaks with an appearance by the ICO itself, under principal guest conductor, Bruno Giuranna.

Tomorrow night's closing concert in St Flannan's Cathedral is an all-Mozart affair, the great G minor Symphony preceding the Requiem. The soloists are soprano Carol Smith, mezzo soprano Barbara Rearick, tenor Robin Tritschler and bass baritone Christopher Purves. And the occasion re-unites the ICO with the National Chamber Choir, whose annual getting-together for Handel's Messiah has become one of the highlights of the NCC's schedule.
