Victoria Beckham reminisced about her Irish wedding to footballer David Beckham when she visited Dublin on Wednesday.
She was greeted by a crowd of fans in Brown Thomas on Grafton Street. The fashion designer, known as Posh Spice during her time in the Spice Girls group, was in Dublin to promote her eponymous beauty line, which became available in Ireland last September.
She said visiting the capital is “always such a treat”.
“I’ve been here a few times. I was here a few years ago, and it’s always such a treat to come to Dublin ... I got married here, can you believe that? I got married in Dublin a long, long time ago so it’s always great to come back.”

The couple got married in Luttrellstown Castle, Clonsilla, in July 1999.
Speaking about their daughter Harper (13), Beckham said: “She’s completely obsessed with make-up and skincare and she is always by my side. She’s a little bit of a mini me.
“She knows as much about make-up possibly as I do. I mean, she can tell you everything. So she’s just obsessed with, as I said, make-up and skincare and it’s all about the formula. So she has a real point of view for somebody so little, she knows what works for her skin.”
To laughter from the crowd in Brown Thomas, she said: “She likes to wear a little bit of make-up and she does it very well, and very nicely and very naturally. And I did have to point out to her that, you know, you’re not allowed to wear make-up at school. I was told the same thing and she turned to me and she said, but I don’t understand mummy why do they not want me to look my best ... I mean, I used to ask the same thing.”

Friends Sophie Byrne (21) and Laura Neville (21) were part of the crowd of fans who raced to Brown Thomas to catch a glimpse of Beckham, after hearing she would be making an appearance at the store through social media.
“I was just in my house today, Laura rang me and said that Victoria Beckham was in Brown Thomas so we just ran down to the bus and came in,” Byrne said.
Neville added: “I saw her TikTok and her Instagram, she had a story up saying that she was going to be in Brown Thomas at 3pm, luckily I was around a bus stop when I saw it.”

Byrne said she was excited to tell her mother about the experience. “My mom’s a huge fan and grew up with her ... It’s kind of surreal, it’s weird that she’s right there. She seemed so normal and humble, and she’s stunning.”
Jerry Mulvihill (39) was browsing with his mother when he heard a commotion coming from downstairs and decided to investigate. “I’m just here with my mom, we were just doing some shopping upstairs in the home section and literally just stumbled on this by accident.”
“She looks incredible and amazing and she’s smiling, which I heard is unusual,” Mulvihill laughs.
“When I was younger the Spice Girls were always amazing and she definitely has to be admired for her brand, she’s one of the top brands in the world,” he said, adding that Beckham “looks beautiful and taller than I thought as well”.
