Some of the best songs in history are guilty of the most misogynistic lyrics, so how is it that female music fans can still love them?

The book, Under My Thumb: The Songs that Hate Women and the Women Who Love Them, explores this apparent contradiction through a collection of essays by female writers and music fans, writing about the musicians or songs that they have loved despite sexist messaging.
