Evie, a special needs teacher from Castleknock in Dublin first noticed Fabio, who works with PayPal, in a friend’s photo on Facebook in 2010. A week later she was at a 30th birthday party when he walked in. Shortly after that, they went on their first date.

"Fabio had very little English so we couldn't really understand each other and I was moving to Canada in a couple of months, so I really didn't think this was going to go anywhere," remembers Evie.

“A couple of months later, after a few more dates, I went off. I started receiving regular emails from Fabio and four months into my year in Canada I decided to come back to Dublin and give it a proper shot.”

After living together for three years, Evie was finding it difficult to find a teaching job in Ireland and moved to Dubai. After five months there she found a job at home and returned.

In January 2014, Fabio proposed in Dromoland Castle.

The couple chose to have their wedding in Bellinter House in Navan where Evie’s parents, Bernard and Susan, first met at a Transcendental Meditation course 37 years ago.

On November 22nd, 2015, Evie and Fabio were married there in a spiritualist ceremony officiated by Sandra Losty. Lead singer with Afiniti Music, Emer Barry, sang during the ceremony.

The groom's parents are Orietta and Marino Magnani.

Evie’s favourite part of the day was when everyone was called down to dinner.

“We will never have a time again in our lives when everyone we love will be in the same place. It was overwhelming to feel all the love from our friends and family. It’s a feeling I never want to forget.”

The newlyweds' first dance was The Broken Road by Rascal Flatts.
