The speakers' line-up for this year's Irish Property and Facility Management Association (IPFMA) conference promises plenty of strong medicine, with a dash of optimism for the gathered throng. Aidan O'Hogan, chairman of Property Industry Ireland (PII) will offer a seasoned industry perspective, while ex-Barings Bank "rogue trader" Nick Leeson (pictured) will have plenty to say about surviving unchecked risk-taking.
O'Hogan's ability to call the property market at the right time was evidenced through his sage dealings at HOK before it sold to Savills in 2006. He will address delegates on Property: Its Past, Present and Future, while Leeson will advise on how to face down hard times through his talk Been There, Done That.
The conference, which marks the 25th anniversary of the IPFMA , takes place in Croke Park Conference Centre on Thursday, September 26th. Entitled Review, Renew, Remodel, it is open to non-members. Cost is €190 for IPFMA members and €250 for non-members. Telephone 01-6445520 or email info@ipfma.com.
