Rising rents are in the news: Leo Varadkar defended Government policy this week, saying there needs to be "a balance" between regulating rental costs and landlords' income.

“One person’s rent is another person’s income,” he told the Dáil on Tuesday. “It might be their pension, it might be how they pay their mortgage.”

Tell us how you view the rental and housing markets. What would you like to see happen? Are you afraid that you might never be in a position to get on the property ladder?
