The architect who designed Linden, a large detached house on Silchester Road in Glenageary, was determined to keep it bright: there are roof windows in many of the rooms and lots of internal doors are glazed.

Electronic gates open into a long gravelled tree-lined drive that leads to the double front doors of Linden. They open into a wide entrance hall: on the right, through glazed French doors, is the long dual-aspect drawingroom. The main bedroom, at the other end of the landing, has French doors onto a small balcony overlooking the tree-lined drive; it has Sliderobes storage and a fully-tiled en suite shower room.

The four other bedrooms are all doubles. There’s also a smart tiled family bathroom installed seven years ago.

Outside, the sheltered back garden has plenty of patio space, a wide lawn with well-filled raised beds, and a shed.
