Interior design is in her blood, says Natasha Rocca Devine who, under the name The Interiors NRD, has just launched an interior design website to share her interiors and lifestyle ideas and inspiration.

The 33-year-old, who has previously written a novel, The Industry, as well as a self-help book, is a member of the well-known Irish-Italian family whose roots are in property and decor. Her great-grandfather Edgidio "Nano" Rocca worked on the rebuilding of the Four Courts after the building was destroyed during the Civil War in the 1920s, and his son Patrick founded Rocca Tiles in 1976. The family business flourished from a one -store operation into a nationwide chain with scores of employes.

Natasha is the daughter of a one-time Miss Ireland, Michelle Rocca, and former football player John Devine, who played for Arsenal, Norwich City and Shamrock Rovers, and she remains close to her parents who guided her through serious health issue in her 20s following an accident in the San Francisco, where she had gone to work on a J1 visa. On recovery she completed her college degree and went on to study media and interior design. She worked for some time in the property business on the west coast of the US, where the Irish are carving out a name for themselves in building, renovating and selling high-end homes. That experience has inspired her love of contemporary, open-plan homes, which feature on her website.

Rocca works on private commissions and with brands, and discusses style and design on her YouTube videos. As one might expect, she channels a luxe look, but with her eye firmly on the high street, through an association with furniture retailer Harvey Norman. For tips and ideas, see theinteriorsnrd.com
