Copper-faced comeback
These glass-topped copper-plated frame tables mine the decade that taste forgot in an effective way. Of the three pictured, Dust Interiors (01-4410160 dust.ie) stocks the two at the right of the shot. The low coffee table with candlesticks on top cost €300 and the taller side table costs €125. Dine out of the blue
An impressive dining table was a key part of the decade’s design. Meridiani’s new Plinto table with its bronzed base and plinth nails the look and is available at Cavey Interior Design (01-660 0600 cavey.ie). The octagonal white gloss model costs €10,070 while the matte cobalt blue rectangular model costs €13,000. Present today’s column and Irish Times readers can order either style less 10 per cent. Plant with panache
The Anvandbar four-piece terracotta self-watering planters (top), €12, form part of a new collection available at Ikea (ikea.ie) in April. Trending: Bring back the platters
Well-hung plates are having a decorative moment. You can take the trend one step further and choose bowls. The hypnotic swirled bowls of Danish design studio Troels Flensted (troelsflensted.com) are beautiful. The Central Saint Martins graduate was awarded the ‘Talent á la Carte’ award at Maison & Objet last year and he returned in January to show these beautiful vessels which range in price, ex-delivery from €69 to €159.
