Intrigued by buildings, in love with architecture and fascinated by urban planning? Or simply keen to know how we might do it all better? Then the Irish Architecture Foundation's lecture series, in association with Arup, New Now Next, is worth taking time out to attend.

The latest event brings Dutch architect Winy Maas from MVRDV to Ireland to share his wisdom and insights. Known for innovation, playfulness, ingenuity, and for their ethos of sustainability, the MVRDV team passionately believe in a better future for our cities and landscapes.

Vision

If you're smitten by the Maas vision, you can also sleep in it – as MVRDV's fabulous and impossible-looking Balancing Barn in Suffolk, England, is one of the wonderful Living Architecture buildings.

These fantastic (and fantastical) structures are available as holiday rentals with a difference (living-architecture.com).
