Mullen's Laurel Park, Co Dublin, April 1st: The sale had a large number of online overseas buyers – particularly the United Kingdom where the Regency Rosewood work table is destined, having sold for €3,200 (€2,400–€2,800). The Irish Elk antlers were withdrawn at €7,000 but are under negotiation.
Bonham's, London Fine Books and Manuscripts, March 27th:. Some lots of Irish interest sold for well above their estimates including, lot 26 Lord Edward FitzGerald's letter achieved £2,295(£600–£800), lot 28: Trinity College expulsion letter (of Robert Emmett et al) sold for £2,550(£1,000–£1,500), and lot 262: WB Yeats signed and inscribed photograph achieved £5,000(£1,500–£2,000)

Monday, April 8th, Oliver Usher Auction Rooms, John St, Kells. Clearances from a parochial house in Navan and two executor sales to form 600 lots. Of interest is a large 19th century mahogany dining table – with four extra leaves (€2,000–€3,000) and from the clearance of a chemists shop – a Georgian bank of drawers with apothecary bottles and jars (€1,000–€1,500). An eclectic collection of pub signs and rural bygones to include old pub memorabilia, copper measures, paraffin lamps and an interesting stoneware piglet feeder (€20–€40) Bakelite telephones, an old Hamlet cigar cabinet are offered alongside a large selection of Irish instruments – accordions, fiddles and a harp, in addition to what would interest theatre wardrobe managers – hobnail boots and top hats.
