Whyte's, The Eclectic Collector auction, Molesworth St, Dublin 2. 80 per cent of lots sold. A 19th century mahogany coin cabinet containing ancient Roman coins, €10,500 (€2,000-€3,000); an Ireland Currency Commission "Lady Lavery" one hundred pound note, €3,600 (€2,000-€2,500).

Sunday (June 14th)
Adam's, 26 St Stephen's Green, Dublin 2. "Sunday Interiors" auction. 72 per cent of lots sold. Portrait of a Lady with a Large Hat by Charlotte Blakeney Ward, €3,200 (€1,500-€2,000); a Louis Vuitton travelling hat trunk ,€2,000 (€2,000-€3,000). For full list of results see adams.ie.

Tuesday (June 16th)
Christie's, London. Paintings owned by the Alfred Beit Foundation (Russborough House, Co Wicklow). Yew Court, Scalby, On A November Night ; and The Old Gates, Yew Court, Scalby, near Scarborough by John Atkinson Grimshaw sold separately, each for £56,250 – to the same unnamed buyer. Each had an estimate of £50,000 to £70,000.

Wednesday (June 17th)
O'Reilly's Auction Rooms, 126 Francis St, Dublin 8. A set of gentleman's cufflinks and shirt-studs decorated with diamonds and sapphires, in a fitted case from the Bond Street, London branch of Chaumet, the famous Parisian jewellers, €15,200 (€5,000-€6,000).
