To celebrate Food Month, online sandwich company A Killer Sandwich returns to The Irish Times building this year, with a specially created sandwich that can be ordered online and collected from our offices on November 27th. You'll also get a free week's irishtimes.com digital subscription with your lunch. (Here's what went down last year)
This year, there is also the chance to win a great prize by designing a foodie front page of The Irish Times. We will print a special run of the winning entry on our Citywest printing presses – and then A Killer Sandwich will use it as sandwich wrappers on the day.
As well as being a legend in their own lunchtime, the winning entrant will also get framed a copy of their front page, plus one night's accommodation for two people in the 4* Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa, Galway city, which is just three minutes from Eyre Square. The prize includes buffet breakfast, two passes for the Thermal Suite at the Spirit One Spa, and dinner for two in RAW, winner of Best Ethnic Restaurant of the Year 2016 in the recent Georgina Campbell awards.
How to enter
Design a food-related front page of The Irish Times. There's no restriction on content or images, but it should offer people something fun to read while they eat their Killer Sandwich. Entries should measure 340mm wide by 540mm deep and include The Irish Times masthead. You can download the masthead here.
Entries should be submitted as an email attachment to sandwich@irishtimes.com. Files should be no bigger than 3MB. However, the winning entrant will be required to submit a higher resolution image for printing. Please include your name and phone number.
Closing date is 5pm on November 19th. The winner will be notified by Monday, November 23rd.
