An Irishwoman who will be walking the red carpet at the Oscars is award-winning jeweller Yvonne Ross, fiancé of Paul Young, co-founder of Kilkenny-based Cartoon Saloon who produced Tomm Moore's Oscar-nominated animated feature film Song of the Sea.

Ross met Young while on a jewellery course in Kilkenny and she plans to wear a full-length gown designed by her friend Elaine McGovern with her own jewellery that is “water inspired with blue stones and pear-shaped diamonds”.
