Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Co Mayo last month after a man in his 90s died of injuries sustained in the crash.
The collision occurred on the N5 Castlebar to Turlough road at around 4pm on December 29th and involved a car and a van.
The driver of one of the vehicles, a man aged in his 90s, was taken to Mayo University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries. He has since died from his injuries.
The driver of the second vehicle, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to Mayo University Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

An examination of the scene was conducted by forensic collision investigators.
Gardaí are now appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.
In a statement, Garda headquarters said it is also appealing for any road users who were travelling on the N5 at the time, and may have camera footage, including dashcam video, to make this footage available to gardaí.
Gardaí earlier appealed for witnesses following a fatal single-vehicle collision that occurred in Clarinbridge, Co Galway on January 9th.
An unreported collision involving an SUV took place shortly after 9.15am that morning, with the sole occupant of the car, a man in his 30s, later found dead at home.
The two calls for information came after a teenager died following an early morning road crash in Achill, Co Mayo.
