Gardaí and the PSNI have issued appeals for information this weekend after four people died following separate road incidents in Co Wexford, Co Waterford and Co Tyrone.
In the latest road fatality, a man in his 20s was killed in a single-vehicle road traffic crash in Co Wexford at about 10.25pm on Friday night.
The driver was the sole occupant of the car which crashed near a railway level crossing at Mayglass. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to the incident to come forward, in particular road users who were in the Mayglass area between 10.15pm and 10.45pm on Friday night. Anyone with information relating to the collision can contact Wexford Garda station on 053-9165200.

A man in his 70s died after he was struck by an SUV on the N25 at Kinsalebeg, Co Waterford, on Thursday morning. Emergency services were alerted to the incident at about 10.15am. The pedestrian, Noel Hogan, was taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for injuries where he later died.
Gardaí have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward. They are appealing to road users who were travelling on the N25 between Dungarvan and Youghal Thursday morning with camera footage to make it available to them.
Gardaí have also renewed their appeal for witnesses following the death of a cyclist in Co Wexford.
Emergency services were alerted to a collision involving a van and bicycle at approximately 5.45pm on Wednesday on the N25 at Holmestown, Co Wexford.
Donal O’Keeffe, a cyclist aged in his 50s, was taken to Wexford General Hospital to be treated for his injuries which were serious, and later died.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to come forward. They are appealing to road users who were travelling on the N25 in the Holmestown area between 5.30pm and 6pm with camera footage to make it available to them. Anyone with information are asked to contact Wexford Garda station on 053-9165200.
In Northern Ireland, a man in his 20s died two weeks after his car was involved in a collision in Co Tyrone. The incident happened on the Tummery Road area of Dromore on Saturday August 20th. PSNI officers attended the scene shortly before 8.30am, where a yellow-coloured Ford Transit was discovered in a nearby ditch. Two men were taken to hospital for treatment to their injuries and one has now died, the PSNI said.
PSNI spokesman Sergeant Smart said: “We are reiterating our appeal to anyone who was on the Tummery Road during this time, and who witnessed anything or who may have dash-cam footage of the collision, to contact us on 101.”
As of Friday morning 107 deaths had been recorded on the State’s roads, 14 more than the number of fatalities on the same date in 2021. - Additional reporting PA
