What could have been a charming evening is derailed by technical issues and overruns

Siobhán Kane's musical exploration opens with an (overly long) Italia 1990 medley to the tune of Put 'Em Under Pressure, the anthem produced by U2's Larry Mullen, which samples Horslips and reworks the tune of God Save Ireland. It's a mingling of music between different centuries, says Kane, whose gentle wit and infectious passion go a long way towards plastering over the cracks in this production.

Joining Kane to discuss what music means in our lives are Donal Lunny ("Music attaches itself to moments in your life"); singer-songwriter Adrian Crowley ("Songs to me are like security blankets"); DJ Peter Toomey and author Darragh O'Halloran.

In-between these musings and performances, Kane reminisces, playing projected videos and music clips from a laptop with varying degrees of technical clumsiness. At the billed 60 minutes, the show could have been a charming evening of music and chat; an extra 45 minutes bring it to an unfortunately tiresome close.
