The Project Arts Centre has opened itself up to the visual arts this summer, hosting a range of artists throughout the venue. Included is the work of young Irish artist Sam Keogh (below), installations by Janice Kerbel, and a collection of sculptures. The Lagan Towpath is a moderate walk along river, canals and wetland from Belfast to Lisburn. Some of the canals date from the late 18th century, and there's a good mix of woodland to admire also. The overall distance is 11 miles and it is mainly off-road paths. walkni.com
