More than 40 new acts in final announcement for festival

The Prodigy have been added as headliners to the final Electric Picnic line-up which has just been announced.

The English electronic dance band, who came to prominence in the 1990s, have just released their first new material in three years with the song Need Some1. Their seventh studio album No Tourists will be released in November.

A total of 41 new acts were announced for the festival which takes place between August 31st and September 2nd in Stradbally.

The rest of the new announcements are mostly made of Irish acts including the chart topping Picture This with perennial favourites Walking on Cars, The Coronas, Gavin James and Ash among the acts will which will play the sold out festival.

The full additions to the bill are The Prodigy, Picture This, Walking on Cars, The Coronas, Gavin James, Ash, Versatile, Hudson Taylor, Wyvern Lingo, Delorentos, King Kong Company, Mik Pyro, Wild Youth, HamsandwicH, Hermitage Green, Kojaque, Krystal Klear, Mango X Mathman, Ryan McMullan, Columbia Mills, Tebi Rex, Brand New Friend, Æ MAK, Laoise, Sorcha Richardson, Pale Rivers and State Lights.

The acts already announced for the Electric Picnic include Kendrick Lamar, Massive Attack, Dua Lipa and N.E.R.D.
