Electric Picnic 2019: Early Bird tickets sell out in less than 4 hours

Sales come after announcement of increased capacity for next year’s festival

The first batch of tickets for Electric Picnic 2019 have already sold out, just four hours after going on sale.

Sales opened at 9am Friday morning will Early Bird – priced at €205 – loyalty, family camping, family camper van and regular camper van tickets now gone with organisers saying they sold out in record time.

Further tickets will be made available for fans to purchase early next year. In a statement, the festival said the speed of the sales is a reflection of the “unwavering popularity” of the event.

Next year's festival will see capacity increased from 55,000 to 57,500 people and will take place across 600 acres in Stradbally, Co Laois from Friday, August 30th, to Sunday September 1st, 2019.
