The Wolfe Tones are set to play their last live Irish show next summer with a gig in Limerick’s Thomond Park Stadium.
In an announcement on Wednesday, the folk group said they will perform their “final farewell” on Sunday, July 13th, after more than 60 years together.
Tickets for the gig are priced at €49.90 and €59.90 and will go on sale on Ticketmaster next Monday, October 28th, at 8am.
The band have recently had huge success drawing Electric Picnic’s largest recorded crowd when they took to the festival’s main stage in August, and selling out three shows at Dublin’s 3Arena and Belfast’s SSE Arena.

The group released 16 albums, achieving acclaim both at home and abroad having been awarded the freedom of the cities of New York and Los Angeles. They also played Carnegie Hall several times. Current members Noel Nagle, Brian Warfield and Tommy Byrne have performed together as a trio since the early 2000s.
Warfield said the band have been “completely overwhelmed by the reaction to the recent shows”.
“All shows sold out very fast and we know that a lot of people were disappointed they could not see The Wolfe Tones for one last time ... We are therefore delighted to have the opportunity to perform in a major stadium concert at the famed Thomond Park on Sunday, 13th July, 2025.”
He added: “It will be the final farewell and goodbye to all our friends, so let’s do it in true Limerick style!”
