Travel arrangements for New Year’s Eve

Alterations to all modes of public transport

Dart and Green line Luas services will run late on New Year's Eve to accommodate those celebrating in Dublin city centre.

On New Year's Day, services will operate as per a Sunday timetable with some alterations which can be accessed at buseireann.ie

Bus Éireann will operate a Saturday service on New Year’s Eve with all buses stopping at around 10pm.

On New Year's Eve, a Saturday service will operate on all Dublin Bus routes with buses stopping at approximately 10pm. All Nitelink routes will operate as per normal weekend service.

Luas Green line services will run at 1am, 1.30am, 2am, 2.30am, 3am and 3.30am after the New Year's Eve celebrations.

There will be no late-night Red line services as the Luas operators claim there is no demand for it.

On New Year’s Day, a Sunday service will operate with the first tram at 7am and the last tram at 11.30pm.

On Irish Rail all routes will cease by 9pm. On New Year's Day, there will be alterations to all routes.

Dart services will operate to a Saturday schedule on New Year’s Eve.

After the New Year's Festival Dublin concert, the following late night Dart and commuter services will operate: 01.30 and 02.30 from Pearse serving all stations to Howth; 01.30 and 02.30 from Connolly serving all stations to Greystones; 01.40 and 02.40 from Pearse serving Tara Street, Connolly and all stations from Howth Junction to Dundalk; 01.20 and 02.50 from Pearse serving all stations to Maynooth.

On New Year’s Day, services will operate to a Sunday schedule.

No major disruption is expected on roads as weather conditions return to normal.
