A man and woman have been arrested as part of ongoing investigations into the activities of an organised crime group operating around Ronanstown in west Dublin.
Gardaí say the criminal group is involved in an ongoing feud in the area and has been responsible for pipe bomb and arson attacks, the discharge of firearms, drug dealing and other serious incidents.
The arrests of the pair on Tuesday form part of a Garda investigation aimed at disrupting these criminal elements.
The man (20s) was arrested in Dublin city centre and the woman (also 20s) was arrested in Clondalkin.

Both are currently detained.
The arrests were carried out by gardaí attached to the South Dublin Serious Crime Unit.
Separately, gardaí carried out searches at several properties and cells in Mountjoy Prison on Tuesday as part of an inquiry into the smuggling of drugs and contraband into jails.
A Garda spokesperson said the searches of properties in Clondalkin, Ballyfermot, Coolock and Tallaght are connected to an investigation related to smuggling into Wheatfield, Cloverhill and Mountjoy prisons.
The property searches turned up some miniature phones wrapped in insulation tape which, the spokesperson said, were ready to be sent by drone to the prisons.
Gardaí also seized controlled drugs, including €17,000 worth of cannabis, cocaine valued at €5,000, and €3,000 worth of tablets.
A drone, €22,000 in cash, a Rolex watch, mobile phones, financial documents, improvised weapons and drug paraphernalia were also seized.
Investigations are ongoing, the spokesperson said.
