Twitter is undergoing a redesign to make it lighter, faster and easier to use.
The revamp promises less clutter and easier browsing through a new side navigation menu, while refined typography and bolder headlines will make it more easy to read.
Twitter is also promising more intuitive icons, the option to update instantly with reply, retweets and like counts so you can see conversations as they are happening, and a range of additional accessibility choices.
Roll out
The changes are expected to roll out across twitter.com, Twitter for iOS, Twitter for Android, TweetDeck and Twitter Lite over the coming days and weeks.
Twitter reported a net loss of $62 million (€55.6 million) for its first quarter as it added nine million users. Average monthly active users increased 6 per cent year-on-year to 328 million, the company said.
Revenue, however, fell 7.8 per cent to $548.3 million (€503.6 million) in the first quarter, its first drop since its initial public offering in November 2013.
