Technology firm IT Alliance is to create 75 jobs in the coming year as partof a €2 million investment.

The company, which offers IT outsourcing and managed services, already employs more than 400 people in Ireland. In 2012, it set up an IT support and cloud services company Auxilion, which employs 30 people. Its customers include Microsoft, BT, IBM, Dell and HP.

The new jobs will cover a range of positions across IT, account management, project management, digital marketing and business operations.

“This is a great time to be in the technology business in Ireland. The tech world is undergoing fundamental change globally and that creates opportunities,” said IT Alliance chief executive Philip Maguire. “While there is a shortage of IT skills worldwide, the Government is making strides to address the issue here. Combined with our indigenous creative skills I see no reason why Irish companies cannot create strong, dominant technology brands that compete internationally over the next decade, especially those in the emerging cloud sector.”
