Irishwoman Ann-Marie Holmes has been appointed as vice president of Intel’s technology and manufacturing group.

Ms Holmes, who is the factory manager of Intel’s Fab 24 facility in Leixlip, Co Kildare, is the third Irishwoman to be appointed to a senior role in the company, and the eighth Irish person to take up a vice president role.

Originally from Roscommon, Ms Holmes spent her entire career with Intel, joining the company in 1991 and was appointed factory manager of Fab 24 in 2012. She previously worked in Fab10, Fab14 and Ireland Fab Organisation (IFO), holding a variety of roles before moving to Fab 24 in 2001.

The Trinity graduate joins Ann Kelleher, who is the corporate vice president and general manager of the technology and manufacturing group, and US based Margaret Burgraff, who is vice president of the software and services group, on the list of high-ranking Irish women in Intel.
