Here in Europe, Spotify rules the roost when it comes to streaming music. However, having launched on Monday, Apple Music looks set to change all of this or at least shake up the market a little by offering the first three months for free. There is of course Rdio, Napster and Deezer but they take a minuscule slice of the pie. What about Google Play Music? Well, it has stolen ahead of Apple by launching a free streaming service in the US last week. It offers free, streaming ad-supported music in the form of personalised and time-specific playlists. The idea is to offer handy ready-made playlists for weekend parties, early morning gym sessions, Thursday night late at work and a leisurely walk in the park. If you use a VPN service, then you're already virtually in the US.
