Dell and Camara Education agree deal for e-centres in schools

Dell has signed a three-year deal with Camara Education that will see it partner with the non-profit group to set up e-learning centres in Dublin and Limerick schools.

The two schools are Benincasa school in Blackrock, Co Dublin, and St Gabriel’s, Dooradoyle, Limerick. Dell will provide almost 70 devices to the schools, inclu- ding laptops and tablets.

The scheme is designed to improve access to technology and improve computer literacy skills. Teachers will be trained to ensure the devices are used effectively.

In Dublin, Camara will provide training on Google Apps Admin Training and Teacher Training; the Limerick school will work with Camara and Dell on interactive whiteboards, Microsoft Office 2012 and Windows 7 and 8.
