Clontarf Energy has said court proceedings over its Tano 2A licence in Ghana have been temporarily adjourned and will be heard again on July 7th.

In April, Clontarf and Petrel Resources were granted an injunction in the High Court of Ghana protecting their rights to the exploration block.

The two companies, which were founded by industry veteran John Teeling, sought the injunction after a row with the Ghanian government following its decision to grant a licence to a US company over part of what the company believes overlaps with its agreement on Block Tano 2A.

Clontarf has a 60 per cent stake in the Tano 2A licence while Petrel has a 30 per cent interest.
