Sigmar, one of the country's largest recruitment firms, is to more than double its own workforce with the creation of 150 new jobs by the end of 2018.
The company said the roles, which will be in sales, digital marketing and recruitment, will be for both experienced professionals and graduates. It said a “significant” number of the jobs on offer would be based outside Dublin.
Sigmar, which has offices in Cork, Galway and Dublin, was founded in March 2002 with a team of eight staff. It now employs more than 100 people.
The new jobs coincide with the creation of a new centre of excellence, which is being established on the back of a big demand for talent by US multinationals looking to expand internationally from Ireland.
Talent
“This investment is a high value play to help some of the fastest growing companies in the world find the best talent in the world from here in Ireland, something we are immensely proud of,” said Sigmar Recruitment’s chief commercial officer, Robert Mac Giolla Phádraig.
The company said it was on track to deliver 50 of the new roles by the end of 2016. The remaining roles will be created over the following two years.
The investment is backed by Enterprise Ireland and the Department of Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation.
