Leitrim County Council is to host a business showcase in Dublin next week to encourage investment in the county.
The event will highlight a number of indigenous business successes, including medical devices company VistaMed which is based in Carrick-on-Shannon and employs 350 people.
Other successful local businesses include Cora Systems which employs 35 people and the Food Hub which employs 50 people.
Representatives from the companies will speak at the event in the InterContinental Hotel in Ballsbridge on May 12th. Leitrim county manager Frank Curran will address potential investors as will former IDA managing director and Leitrim native Padraic White.
Leitrim County Council head of enterprise Joe Lowe said Leitrim remained Ireland's most underpopulated county, but said that smallness was a virtue.
Potential businesses do not have to go through multiple agencies if they are looking to invest as the county council will facilitate investors.
