Business lobbyist to leave Dublin Chamber of Commerce after over 15 years as chief

High-profile business lobbyist Gina Quin, chief executive of Dublin Chamber of Commerce, is leaving the organisation to take on a top role at the National College of Ireland (NCI) .

The chamber confirmed that Ms Quin will leave in the summer to take over as president of NCI. She will replace former rugby international Phillip Matthews.

The chamber’s council was informed of her departure on Friday and the news is set to be officially announced on Monday. The chamber said its board will immediately begin a process to replace Ms Quin.

Ms Quin has been chief executive for more than 15 years, having earlier worked with Gandon Enterprises, the Irish Trade Board and Lansdowne Market Research.

She has lobbied on many business issues, including recent exhortations to Dublin City Council to allow more high-rise developments.
