The Irish property investment company, Green REIT, yesterday announced that Toys R Us has leased the remaining vacant shops at Westend Retail Park in Blanchardstown, Dublin, and Parkway Retail Park in Limerick.
The American-based toy retailer will be paying a rent of € 325,000 for 929sq m (10,000sq ft) and a 650sq m (7,000sq ft) mezzanine in Blanchardstown, and €2000,000 for a unit of 1,663sq m (17,800sq ft) in Limerick.
Toys R Us has more than 1,500 stores across 33 countries with more than 50 outlets in Britain and Northern Ireland.
Westend Retail Park was developed and run by the Cosgrave Group until it was sold along with other high-value property assets by Nama.
Toys R Us Ireland plans to open 10 outlets in Ireland. The trader will be joining the extensive list of retail brands in Westend.
Savills and CBRE acted for Green REIT while Bannon Commercial advised Toys R Us.
Ronan Webster of Green REIT, said he believed Toys R Us would prove to be a great draw for shoppers while further improving the strong tenant mix in both locations which were now fully let.
