One of property developer Liam Carroll’s companies, which has accumulated losses of €613.6 million, last year paid its directors almost €800,000.

Accounts filed by Zelderbridge Ltd show €797,502 was paid to its directors in 2012. They were Mr Carroll, John Pope and David Torpey, with Mr Carroll's wife, Róisín and Noel Murray listed as alternate directors. The accounts were signed off by Mr Pope and Mr Torpey. No breakdown is provided as to how much each director received.

Zelderbridge owes €806 million in bank loans and overdrafts, with €200 million to the National Asset Management Agency. Notes to the accounts say the group has lodged a detailed business plan with Nama that is currently being evaluated.
