The Gateway office development on East Wall Road in Dublin 3 is now at full occupancy after Whirlpool agreed to lease the last remaining space at the 2008-built scheme.
Whirlpool is to occupy 2,323sq m (25,000sq ft) on a long-term lease at a rent of €236.80 per sq m (€22 per sq ft) in the One Gateway block. The letting was handled by Savills and JLL who recently secured a lease on 13,006sq m (140,000sq ft) of space at Gateway to the ESB ahead of the redevelopment of its headquarters on Fitzwilliam Street in Dublin 2 which is due to get underway in early 2017.
Gateway was developed and built by Collen Group. The office complex is situated at the junction of East Wall Road and Church Road, and has extensive frontage to both.
It is adjacent to the highly successful East Point Business Park and within 1km of the International Financial Services Centre (IFSC) at Custom House docks.
Dublin Airport is less than 15 minutes from the location via the nearby Port Tunnel while the Dart at Clontarf is within walking distance.
Collen Construction has been in business for more than 200 years and is now ranked within the top four main contractors in Ireland by the 2016 Bruce Shaw Handbook.
It has more than 300 employees and sub contractors working on fit-outs of the three Gateway office buildings.
Collen is also involved in the construction of new office buildings in Central Park, Dublin 18 and at Molesworth Street in Dublin 2 as well as student accommodation for UCD, data centres, and a new-build pharma facility.
