Four retail units at the former offices of The Irish Times on D'Olier Street in Dublin 2 are on the letting market through CBRE quoting rents of €190 per sq m (€18 per sq ft).

The units at The Times building range from 100sq m (1,076sq ft) to 386sq m (4,155sq ft) and have been recently upgraded to CAT A standard. All have good frontage to D’Olier Street and retain many period features.

Three other shop units at The Times building are occupied by Benefit Cosmetics, Medley and House of Colour.

The area is set to get a boost when the Luas Cross City line opens in December. It will increase the already busy footfall in the area.

German real estate investment fund, Real IS, completed the purchase of The Times building in March for €50 million from Kennedy Wilson in an off-market deal.

The Irish Times moved out of the building in 2006 and the property was extended by Cavan-based P Elliott Group. It has 4,765sq m (51,290sq ft) of office space in two blocks, a striking new Fleet Street building and the redeveloped D'Olier Street frontage linked via a glazed central atrium. The Aviation Authority is responsible for 85 per cent of the rental income which now stands at €2.6 million.
