The former Guineys store in Dublin’s Talbot Street is to be offered for sale at a knockdown price of €850,000.

DTZ Sherry FitzGerald is handling the sale of the landmark building at 79/80 Talbot Street for joint liquidators Declan Taite and Sean Kelly of LRS Farrell Grant Sparks.

The four-storey over basement building with a single-storey rear extension has over 1,066sq m (11,484sq ft). The open-plan ground floor extends to 253sq m (2,726sq ft) with access to a rear storage area of 231sq m (2,491sq ft). The second floor has also had retail use. Talbot Street frontage runs to 23.5 metres (77ft). Most of the building is freehold but a small section is held under a lease.

Johnny O’Connor of DTZ said he expected a broad level of interest in the store from retailers and investors.
