The sale of the former Royal & Sun Alliance headquarters on Dublin's Dawson Street finally looks like going ahead now that Simon Coyle and Tom O'Brien of Mazars have been appointed receivers to a string of properties owned by Garret Kelleher's Shelbourne Developments.
Patrick Curran of BNP Paribas Real Estate originally sought offers over €15 million in June, 2013, for what is probably the best redevelopment opportunity in the city but the sale was deferred because of an in-house technical problem relating to a VAT issue. The delay is expected to lead to a higher price because of the large number of investment groups looking for primary investments in the city.
