Danske to sell portfolio of Irish properties individually

Danish lender is in the process of winding down much of its Irish operations

Danske Bank will sell a batch of Irish properties individually rather than in a single transaction as it had planned.

The Danish lender is winding down much of its Irish operations after suffering major losses in the aftermath of the property crash.

The properties, including residential and commercial assets, will not be sold as a portfolio, said Caroline Douglas, a Dublin-based spokeswoman for the bank.

In addition to selling real estate, the Copenhagen-based company said last week that it will pull out of retail and small-business banking.
