Boots opt for three units at Park Pointe


Boots is to take three retail units at the Park Pointe scheme on the former Dún Laoghaire Golf Club site in south Co Dublin. The retailer is to occupy 374sq m (3,735sq ft) of space.

Nicholas Corson of letting agent Finnegan Menton said Boots’ decision was a great endorsement of Park Pointe which will provide excellent shopping in a neighbourhood centre with plenty of free surface car-parking.

Park Pointe will be anchored by Tesco which is taking a 1,600sq m (17,200sq ft) unit while Costa Coffee has also signed up for a 160sq m (1,722sq ft) outlet.


High-quality finishes
The centre will have an overall floor area of 3,250sq m (35,000sq ft) and was designed by architects McCrossan O'Rourke to feature double-height fully-glazed units with curved roofs and high-quality finishes.

The letting agents are now seeking tenants for the final four units ranging from 80sq m (861sq ft) to 205sq m (2,207sq ft). The quoted rent is €430 per sq m (€40 per sq ft).

The development, which is nearing completion, is expected to open this summer and is the first new shopping centre in south Dublin since 2007.

It has extensive frontage to Glenageary Road Upper and is near the entrance to Cosgrave Property Group's Honeypark development where 143 apartments and 65 houses have been completed while another 60 are due for released in February. Honeypark will be laid out across some 70 acres.
