The AIB Start-up Academy began on Monday the 29th of February in The Irish Times building. Chosen from 426 applicants, our 11 finalists took their place in The Irish Times training classroom. This was the first day of an intensive eight-week course designed to build strength and capabilities across marketing, eCommerce, sales, networking, pitch preparation, social media and more.
Welcomed by Kevin O' Sullivan, Editor of The Irish Times and John Irwin, Head of Strategy and Enablement at AIB, our finalists enjoyed a networking masterclass from coach Lisa Hughes (Irish Times Training), in their morning session, while in the afternoon, Dr Johnny Ryan (PageFair), taught participants about a different kind of business model: the lean business canvas.
