Ryanair will fly to Santa’s hometown and add flights to Venice and Castellón in Spain as part of what the airline says will be its biggest ever winter schedule from the Republic.

The low-cost carrier said on Tuesday that it will add seven new routes from the Republic’s airports this winter, bringing total services to or from the State for the season to 177.

Ryanair will fly to Rovaniemi, hometown of Santa Claus in Finland, from Dublin over the winter.

The airline will also add services from the capital to Castellón, part of the province of Valencia in eastern Spain, and to Venice and Genoa in Italy.
